Welcome to Biomed Buddies
Biomed Buddies is a peer mentoring program at UNT designed to connect biomedical engineering students across different classifications and levels of experience. Our goal is to foster a supportive community where students can share knowledge, build confidence, and grow together, academically, professionally, and personally.
Through peer-to-peer connections, Biomed Buddies helps new and continuing students navigate their coursework, research opportunities, and career goals while developing meaningful relationships within the department. By bringing together students from a wide range of backgrounds and perspectives, the program strengthens our sense of community and prepares future engineers for success.

About Us
At Biomed Buddies, we believe in the power of mentorship and the value of shared experiences in biomedical engineering. Our program is designed to build connections, foster professional growth, and provide networking opportunities for students within our department. Through guidance from experienced peers, we aim to help every participant thrive academically, personally, and professionally in this dynamic and evolving field.
Mentorship
Our peer mentoring program connects students with experienced mentors who are also part of the Biomedical Engineering program at UNT. These mentors have successfully navigated similar academic paths and are dedicated to helping their peers succeed. We thoughtfully pair mentors and mentees based on academic interests, goals, and experiences to ensure meaningful and productive connections. Together, we work to strengthen our sense of community, promote professional development, and support one another throughout our engineering journey.
